Established in January 2004 with two mini-buses. We now operate a fleet of accessible minibuses and minicoaches, in addition we provide specialist training for individuals and groups involved with escorting passengers on minibuses.
Our Goals
NATA strives to help to reduce the disadvantage and isolation experienced by people within the community, some who face mobility problems and other barriers, including territorialism to accessing essential services and community facilities.
NATA’s cost-effective community transport allows users to move from their environment to access culture and leisure facilities and activities. We want to make an impact on the take-up level of opportunities that are available to people and enhance their quality of life.
The project will help to counter-act the negative effects of these trends by providing accessible community transport which will achieve the following results:
More disadvantaged residents having means to travel to access essential services and community activities
Increased opportunities for community engagement and human contact, especially for isolated and excluded people
Governance
Our organisation is governed by a Board of Directors and membership is made up of community representatives who represent the community groups, their activities and their needs.
NATA is currently funded by Glasgow Community Planning Partnership with support from Lloyds TSB Foundation
NATA is recognised as achieving an Investors in People Standard
